Cortex AI is a native Snowflake service. All AI inference (LLM queries, similarity matching, ML models) executes within the Snowflake compute boundary. TOCA data is never sent to an external model training pipeline.
Third-party data providers (Bond Sports, Paycor, Mindbody) share data via Snowflake's zero-copy Secure Share mechanism. Data is accessed in-place - no duplication, no movement outside the Snowflake environment.
All Sigma dashboards, AI chatbots, and Claude Code application connections inherit Snowflake's RBAC policies. Users and applications can only query data their role is permitted to see - enforced at the data layer.
Sigma AI chatbots (Reputation, GM Scorecard) operate within an authenticated Snowflake session. Conversational AI queries are translated to SQL and executed against Snowflake - no raw data is passed to external LLM APIs.
Applications built with Claude Code (F&B App, Incident Forms, Pipeline Monitor) are hosted within the TOCA environment. All backend data flows into Snowflake - apps interact with TOCA data exclusively via Snowflake's authenticated APIs with no local data storage.
DF is building a custom data observability platform to monitor pipeline health and external connector status (e.g. Fivetran) from within the TOCA environment. All monitoring metadata flows back into Snowflake.
